Phoenix Petroleum Philippines, Inc. and Phoenix Foundation participated in the International Coastal Cleanup on September 20, 2008, Saturday. The annual activity is organized by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources in coordination with the City Government of Davao and other international environmental groups.

Team Phoenix cleaned the shoreline and the beachfront in Brgy. Pampanga, Coaco Beach, Lanang, Davao City. A total of 28 sacks were filled with plastic, cloths, rubber tires, fishnets, banana stalks and trunks, and other garbage. The garbage was collected by the City Environment and Natural Resources Office.
